At Mavericks™ we believe in courage and Mother Nature's inspiring beauty and power. We witness the courage the surfers muster to challenge Nature's most brute and merciless forces, and with that we are inspired to face our own fears. We also cherish the fundamental belief in defending the same Nature that produces those challenges and pure splendor we seek. Respecting and defending Mother Earth means being active in our backyard while also passing on that message to the world.

The Mavericks Environmental Program is focused on the beautiful natural environment surrounding the Mavericks break, since that's where it all began and where we have the largest potential impact. But over time we hope to make broader contributions, such as educating and encouraging people to learn about Half Moon Bay, as well as motivating people from all over the world to make positive environmental contributions in their own cities, coastal communities and surroundings.
