The 2009/2010 Mavericks Surf Contest® Presented by Sony Ericsson and Barracuda Networks

Will this be another year when Mother Nature decides not to come out and play? Or will the 50-foot waves we all know and love come roaring out of the Gulf of Alaska and once again grace us with their presence? The 2009-10 Contest Season begins on November 1st, earlier than ever before. Here’s hoping that 24 elite surfers will soon be getting a call telling them the two words they live to hear: “It’s on.” In the meantime, satisfy your big-wave jones with the incredible sights already witnessed in recent years.
